Cancer definitions
Benign a Condition that is not malignat, recurrent,
invasive or proressive. A tumor or growth that
is not cancerous.
Carcinoma - A form of cancer that develops in tissues covering or lining organs
of the body, such as the skin, the uterus, the lung, or the breast
Cauterization is the process of
destroying tissue by using chemical corrosion or electricity, or by heating or freezing
it. Electrocautery is done using a small probe, which has an electric current running
through it, to cauterize (burn or destroy) the tissue. It is frequently used to stop
bleeding.
Cryosurgery Super-freezing of
tissue in order to destroy it. Used to treat malignant tumors, control pain, control bleeding, and reduce
brain lesions.
